You may have noticed that we recently added a case studies section to our website. We’re extremely proud of our work and while we’ve always had plenty of photos online, we thought it was time we showcased some of our recent projects. It’s a good opportunity to see our blinds and awnings ‘in the wild,’ and we hope it’ll inspire people to pursue their own shading ideas.
Here at Appeal Home Shading, we’ve worked on all manner of projects, but today we want to focus on two in particular. These were very rewarding installations that are nonetheless, very different to each other. Let’s take a closer look.
Dorset Honeycomb Blinds
To start, let’s take a trip to Dorset and check out these ULTRA Smart honeycomb blinds. This apartment had some breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding landscape. The windows took up a large amount of wall space and while the owner loved having a brightly lit living room, sometimes the glare was overwhelming. Direct sunlight could make it uncomfortably hot too.
They were looking for a shading solution that could resolve these issues, while also matching the stylish modern decor. Our ULTRA Smart honeycomb blinds were the answer. They softened the incoming light and made it far more comfortable, as well as reducing the heat transfer rate. The unique shape of the blinds makes them efficient thermal barriers, so managing the temperature became easier.
Alongside this, we also installed roller blinds and blackout blinds in some of the other rooms and upgraded all of them with ULTRA Smart technology. This allowed the owner to control their blinds remotely and perfectly matched the contemporary vibe of the property. It was a very successful install and we have to extend our thanks to the Tailor Made Estate Agency in Poole, who helped introduce everyone involved.
Haus Awnings In London
Leaving the Dorset coast behind, let’s travel inland to London to examine four Haus Awnings at once. This customer owned a wide garden which was perfect for social gatherings and outdoor dining but could get overly bright. Not wanting to risk getting sunburnt every time they chose to eat outside, they got in touch.
As you can see from the photos, adding four strategically placed awnings made a big difference. They were made bespoke to order, ranging in size from 3.6 to 5.4m wide and meant they could now relax in the seating whenever they liked. The customer opted for the MF2600 awnings and included LED lights, allowing them to remain outside long into the night.
These are just two of the many jobs we’ve worked on over the years, but we’ll be looking at a lot more in the coming months.
